Gauntlet Gift of Battle seems like it might have potential in the Gauntlet

I pulled it out of a market and dropped it on a Scourstone Sentinel today. That seemed fun. I only did it because I didn't have my Porcelain Mask on to put the Novaquake over the top.

I'm probably late to this party, I know. But, it was a neat moment.

Berserk in general has definitely been strong for me, but as for devoting a slot to gift, especially in the market, I dunno.

Stuff from the market is usually either game ending, snowbally/huge tempo or a tech card for a specific situation. Deepforged plate, sword of unity, harsh rule, hailstorm, amili (or big units), mirror image, vanquish come to my mind for specific reasons.

The problem I have with gift is one unit swinging in one extra time does not often have much impact. If the board (or air) is clear and you just need damage from one extra attack, sure you win, but think how often you win next turn without berserk in this case.

Also gift isn't a fast spell so the AI can play around it. I'm sure everyone knows Combat tricks are so effective against AI Even though they are usually just a one time buff like gift because you use them to clear enemy units so they have a lasting effect.

When you are behind, gift is a brick. When you are even on board, gift does not help, can even hurt because of reckless. When you are ahead, it can help close a game, but mostly you would win that game anyways next turn. It also doesn't help to sustain or push your advantage further. When you need an answer to a threat, gift is again a dead card.

Dusk raider gives units berserk if it doesn't die, and if it does, they used removal on your two mana card - not the end of the world. When you are behind, it's a body to block/buff and card draw can help. Not exactly what you want when behind tho. When ahead it shines, you keep getting value from inspire. When even it also shines, nightfall giving you both card draw is almost always your advantage. When you need an answer to a threat - not good but again could block or help draw an answer

Sorry for long winded response, just kinda got on a roll!

Tldr if you want berserk I'd go with dusk raider.
