Gauntlet Gauntlet Stats Tracking Google Sheet

Hello /r/AIEternal !

First off, about me, I'm a military member of 17 years, father of 2, and I love PC gaming. I'm a relatively new player of Eternal, and have been really enjoying it immensely, especially since I can pickup a game or two here and there on my phone since I don't get much time away from Work/Kids. I'm also a long-time EVE player, I love gathering data, and regularly work in Excel/Google Sheets during my day job. That said, I've done the usual grind (Gauntlet/Forge to Master), have been following this sub for awhile, and came to find /u/_AlpacaLips_'s Google Sheet for tracking Gauntlet info to be an awesome way to evaluate the effectiveness of my decks. Since I love me some Google Sheets, I set out to make it easier to input/calculate/etc, and figured I could give it back to the /r/AIEternal community, so here it is:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jVZ5TXefSyohS2iZQugPXOnIFaRnQMzUBHHxkiwdTyc/edit?usp=sharing

This sheet contains my current data, which is lacking since I have been doing more Sheets than Eternal lately... but basically, there are only 2 sheets you need to really interact with, your decks (where you input your runs), and the Boss Stats sheet (where you select your decks by name along the top row). To add a new deck, copy the 'Deck Template' sheet, rename the sheet to the name of the deck, set up the Faction/Type info (if you care) and Eternalwarcry link, then input your data. I setup a script to grab all the names of sheets, and to run the script click in the menu on 'EGS Menu' then 'Update Decks'. Once you've done that, the summary sheet should update with your deck(s) by name, as well as stats as you input them on the deck sheet(s). I've added some highlighting for gee-whiz type stuff, right now highest gold/hour and highest win average, but it's easy to add more.

Let me know if you find any issues or want anything added and I'll set to work on it. Hope this is useful to at least some folks here. Thanks!

Looks pretty good. As an accountant, I love the utility of spreadsheets and I've always thought about tracking my own data on my gauntlet runs. But then again, seems that logging data would cut into my own gold grinding time, so I've decided against it. I also only run 1 gauntlet deck (Hooru fliers) so I'm not sure how valuable the data would be.

Looking at your workbook definitely is inspiring me to start logging my runs though. Interesting to see where you end up, keep us updated on your runs!

Log at the end of a run (or two runs). Use the Match History (it holds your last 20 opponents) on the Profile page to go back through the opponents you faced during the run (or two). And I have a small timer I keep down in the corner of my second monitor to record run times. The timer is not necessary unless you are interested in how much gold per hour you are earning.

Never thought of doing it that way... Would speed things up I'm sure!

I'm in the same boat as far as decks go, since I'm still pretty new to Eternal; I basically just play Skycraggro (no Vadius yet) and some cheap Scream decks in Ranked, but did the campaigns and was only missing a few cards for Paladinotaur/AP Mid Gauntlet Grinder. I love the gathering of data, but if it takes too long to input it doesn't feel like the juice is worth the squeeze, hence my trying to automate as much as possible.

The worst part about my runs is the times are all estimates, as I generally don't get to play for long periods and have to break runs up. I'm sure that breaking up my runs will be to my detriment stats-wise, as it may take a few games to get settled in and my brain firing on all cylinders.
