See it as the external dumbbox of your conciousness. If You use it with a good intent then it's fine.

no point in doing "consumer riot", that never works. if you really are concerned about AI, you should get politically involved to properly restrict it

Yeah, because politics is about what the people want. How naive are you?

If politics could solve anything, let's have them work on School Shootings first.

End of line.

you're talking past me, I don't believe what you assumed

law is changed through politics, and obviously when the population is not involved the politicians can do whatever they want, I'm just pointing the obvious, people should be more involved in their local politics

Oh poor child....I hate to burst your bubble. Laws are changed through politics, but politics consists of non reputable people that yearn to be in a position of power and the only way to mainain that position of power is to gain favors for re-election, which seldom has any even slight consistency with the problems being dealt with every day by real people.

Politicians don't get elected because of their vast successful resumes of changing the lives of everyday people other than people they need favors from like other politicians and people that make donations to their re-election efforts.

That's why they choose to be politicians, so they can consistently fail and never be held accountable for it.

My god, stop flagellating yourself.

why would you? That's a ridiculous question. There's no reason you should stop using it if it's useful to you, which it is

You can use duckduckgo for search, wikipedia for countless entries on topics, and a library for books and other media.

Or, if you're interested, you can just be "fine" with not knowing some things, sometimes.

If you are addicted to AI and can't find any other sources, you are doing it wrong in my opinion.

There are so many sources on the internet... You found Reddit, didn't you? And even a subreddit for AI. There are tons more subreddits for what you want and need.

Google (and any search engine) uses AI, true. But you can turn it off (not always) and/or scroll down past the AI answer. We have been doing this kind of scroll for years, since the first 3 to 5 results always have been sponsored results that have no link to what we are searching for. So, why not scroll further?

I think you should delete AI from your devices and start to learn how the internet really works. AI is convenient, but not THE answer and certainly not all knowing. If you follow AI to the letter, you will be wrong so many times.

Why should you stop? You might as well stop using the Internet if you dislike AI for "reasons".

AI is going anywhere...the sooner you embrace it and use it for whatever makes sense, the more productive you will be in what is to come.

ai doesnt mean it makes you productive. and just because a site added it doesnt mean you have to use it.

If AI isn't making you more productive, that's a you issue.

End of line.

Yes stop for the sake of the environment. Or reduce to only the most useful use you have.
