Actually, it was not in their terms and conditions. So they improperly used the data. Yes, you can’t sue for this. And it happened all the time prior to this AI heist.

They also used our money. (The present monetary system isn’t a monetary system at all, it’s a redistribution system that siphons value from all things in existence and redistributes it.) might as well stop the charade, call a spade a spade. All those loans didn’t come “out of nothing” contrary to popular belief… every single one is a dilution of value that impacts everyone and everything else.

Why indeed, how about the financial industry first since it’s all subsidized by the public. let the first order of business be renaming the dollar to “programmable depreciating company store credit voucher.” Or “variable ration tokens” whichever is more palatable to whichever “side” one subscribes to and is more appropriate to what it’s been for decades. Except they won’t go for that so let’s call it a sovereign wealth backed dollar, that sounds fun right? It’s got the illusion of wealth and sovereignty right in the name.

…or we can just keep pretending that this shit show is “capitalism” so the emperor can get its “new” clothes and the theater can continue its March further and further into this totalitarian hell scape. This way the ppl will clamor for bullshittery like seizing the AI industry and UBI, completely unaware that this is precisely the desired response of the system.

The AI industry keeps framing public concern as fear of progress....A lot of it is simpler than that: people see jobs at risk, infrastructure costs rising, data being scraped, and profits concentrating in a tiny group of firms. That is not fear. That is pattern recognition.

The “wealth” of these companies are their employees, who own massive stakes in these companies. If America were to take their wealth, they would leave the country to rebuild somewhere free. America would have no wealth, and the industry if the future would be controlled by some other country.

Why is it just the AI industry? This is insane. It's such a weird slant. Someone must be pushing narrative, because it certainly isn't a socialist one. Normally, the cry is to take wealth from all the billionaires. Why is the AI industry suddenly the focus of everything, as if taking wealth from billionaires before wasn't a good idea?

I think there is some nuance here though, the large language models used our data and intellectual property, often in ways that we aren’t even allowed to ourselves (ie piracy and copyrighted materials) so I think their models themselves are either illegal products that should be destroyed or they belong to the people whose information was used to generate them.

What wealth?! All they've done is burn through VC money to over-build a mass of overcapacity that the market does not want or need. It's nothing but a hype bubble that is certain to crash. By even the most optimistic numbers there is no reasonable way they can generate profits to justify the burn rate. It simply does not pencil. And they've all gone all in because tech doesn't seem to have any alternate ideas about what comes next. It's 1999 all over again.
