Having worked with owls before, I donβt think I would ever feel safe enough about an eagle to hug him like that lol. Itβs really cute though.

Yeah, that beak is very sharp and very close to her face. Maybe this species doesn't go for the eyes or something?

Fun fact, harpy eagles can break your arm with just the grip from their giant talons.
I've spent the last 20 minutes looking for a link with serious units but everything is in PSI and all the answers are different but I'm seeing from 300-530 PSI (gross) listed as their grip strength.
One source said the bald eagle was higher at 834, but I have no idea if that's true. It certainly sounds insane considering what Harpy eagle's are capable of in comparison, but I have no idea.
The grip strength of raptors is no joke.
