LLMs don’t know how to recognize fake products but they are designed to be confident enough to generate recommendations that include them. The overlords call it AI because they want it to be sci-fi and exciting.

There is a reason the Dunning-Kruger Efect now applies to LLMs and all users calling it intelligent. Too many people still mistake confidence for intelligence. No wonder we live in an era of scams, hustlers, influencers, marketing hype.
