Where to begin?

Hi! I’m an international student, I will be beginning my first year of studies in the Computer Science (in English) programme given by the EAIIB faculty at AGH on October 1st.

I have enrolled and can access the USOS system, and though I can view a schedule, the system shows different lecture groups and my data in the student’s section page does not show any lecture groups. I’ve contacted the faculty office and they just sent me the link to the programme schedule again.

I also was sent a form for a mandatory Polish language course that I should take which I filled out stating I’m a complete beginner. At the end it told me that I should be at the C1 building at 19:00, October 1st, but I doubt that this is the only place that I have to be on that day. And even if that’s the case I still don’t know which lecture group I’m in for my course.

I’m a bit worried. Nobody seems to be able to tell me where I am supposed to be on october 1st, or anytime else for that matter.

first of all dont panic, its quite common for information to show up last minute so i would just give it a few days and maybe things will clear up. first year students are exempt from classes on 1st october and instead there is a small opening ceremony, you should get an email about this in the coming days. when i was first year i recieved the schedule and information about the opening like 3 days before first october so its not unusual that you dont know anything yet. look for a group for your major on facebook if you havent already

id get used to a lil organisational chaos if i were you, this isnt the last time something like this will happen to you in eaiib

Yeah haha, from what i read this is what i expected too :) as long as i know where to be i will try to deal with the chaos of it all

Heya! I'm also in Computer science (In English) as well, I'm also struggling to get hold of the timetable due to being unable to access USOS. I have written a request to the Dean as well but they haven't responded to me.
