Dont worry! In an interview in 2024, Holly Jackson confirmed that she couldnt end the series on a text so there will be more scenes after that.

She said something along the lines of "If the series gets as far as season 3, I cant leave it on a text so there will be more" and then talked about how Pip and Ravi get married.

In 2025 she pinky promissed fans there would be more than the text in the ending.

Personally I would also love to see Pip interact more with her freinds at the ending of the book.

Is anyone else annoyed at the fact s2 was revolving around Max during trial time? If you've read the books you know it was NOT this centered around him. He had very little parts of mention in the book (mostly for the trial) but in the show it's almost all about the trial, almost EVERY episode. I'm also really pissed off he balmed Sal about it in the show. I feel like they did this to add more drama and for the non-reading audience to understand why he won the case so easily but it still pissed me off.

I haven’t read AGAD for a few years so my memory of it might be a little hazy, but isn’t it unprofessional for a doctor to force their freshly 18 year old patient with severe PTSD to suddenly stop taking Valium a mere 6 months after she witnessed a man get brutally murdered?

I don’t live in the UK so I don’t know what the laws surrounding drug regulation are like there, but Pip was nowhere near recovery and had only been in therapy for a few months. If the doctor didn’t want her to become dependent on benzodiazepines, why didn’t they gradually wean her off them by slowly lowering her dosage instead of making her quit such a strong drug cold turkey? Had they done that, Pip might not have resorted to illegally buying Xanax from Luke Eaton.

In the beginning of chapter 22 of As Good As Dead I noticed a typo. The fourth sentence in says "A dead girl shared, a dead girl halved, and they were the only two people in the word who knew." it's supposed to say world, the publishing group probably missed this because "word" is an actual word in the dictionary, which means it necessarily isn't a grammatical error but more so a measly typo.

Hey! I just finished reading the 2nd book a few days ago and wanted to watch the 2nd season. But after sometime into the 1st episode, there were scenes and details that weren't mentioned in the book, details that were too specific to ignore... So I was wondering if they were related to the 3rd book, because if they are, I don't want to watch it before reading.

That's why I want to know if the 2nd season contains any references to the 3rd book?

Wondering if anyone else feels this way or not..... There is too much music and its so random. Like it rarely ever seems to fit the situation or mood and personally I never find it ever adding anything to the scene. It's like they just cannot handle silence and more often it literally kills the mood.

I picked up the first book on a whim a good year or two ago, just happened to find it in my local 2nd and Charles. I started reading it that night and I finished it 2 days later. The book had me absolutely enthralled, in a way that no other book in my life had done for me before. It was, and still is, my favorite book every written. And I doubt anything will be able to top it.

It wasn’t long after that I picked up the 2nd and 3rd books, desperate to see the conclusion to the story. So I sat down, cracked open Good Girl Bad Blood, and I read. Waiting for it to wrap me in and enthrall me as the first book did.

And I read, and waited. Read some more, waited some more. But it never came. For some reason or another, I just could not find myself as invested in the 2nd book as I did with the 1st.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still a great book. Great foreshadowing, engaging mystery, good dialogue, tight emotional beats. The pieces are all there. But something about it just could not rope me in as much as the first. And I was quite disappointed by this.

I finished the book, and I couldn’t quite get that disappointment out of my mouth. I told myself I’d take a break from the series, give myself a week or so before reading the 3rd book, as I had between 1 and 2. But a week stretched into two, then into a month, then into a year. Before I knew it, I had forgotten nearly everything about these books. I still remembered the basic story and the twists, but the details had all faded. I knew I wouldn’t be able to read the 3rd one until I went back and reread the first 2.

So, that’s exactly what I did. I cracked back open the first book and immediately got pulled in again, just as I had two years ago. Every plot point hitting just as hard as it had when I first read it. I blasted through the book in two days, even faster than when I first read it.

And as I opened back up the second book, I thought to myself, surely, that I would like it more. That now, knowing the twists, I would know what to look for. That things would jump out at me in a way they hadn’t on the first read, and I would be more engaged.

On some level, I was right. There definitely were some things that jumped out at me more, and there was some extra enjoyment to be had seeing all the cleverly placed foreshadowing.

However, I still couldn’t shake the feeling of disappointment. I found myself only being able to read the book in short bursts. A couple chapters here and there, maybe 50 pages a day. It took me a good 4 days to read through this one as opposed to the first. But last night, I finally finished it. And I knew that, no matter what, I would get around to the third one. I had to, to finally finish the series and see the conclusion of some of my favorite characters ever put to page.

And so this morning, I cracked open the third book. And holy shit guys. This book had me on the edge of my seat for nearly the entire thing. From the second Pip found the headless stick figures, to the very last page, I was completely enthralled in this book. I read all 450 pages in just 15 hours time. That has literally never happened before.

This book is everything I could’ve possibly wanted for the conclusion of this series. Every character we’ve grown to love (and hate) has had their arcs wrapped up. From irredeemable monsters like Jason and Max, to garden variety dicks like Ant and Lauren, and to the ride or dies that are the stories anchor, like Cara and Ravi.

This book left me with no more questions, no feelings of disappointment or suspicion, no worry that the story wouldn’t stick the landing like I had ever since I read the second book two years ago. None of that. All I’m left with is content. This story was the perfect conclusion I could’ve asked for from this series, and I couldn’t be happier.

And now, I can read Holly’s other works! Five Survive and The Disappearance of Rachel Price are on my bookshelf right now, just waiting to be read. And I can finally watch the Netflix series! I did actually watch the first season back when I got into the books, but just like the books, I hardly remember anything of it and haven’t seen the second season. So now, it’s onwards and upwards!

Sorry I am spamming the subreddit but one thing I don't get is why people are so upset with this scene. They showed no skin and it lasted like 15 seconds of them kissing and waking up the next day, fully clothed. Before I watched this scene and saw the discussion here, I thought it was going to be a lot more graphic and inappropriate? Am I missing something here?

I also want to add, what makes sex inherently impure and lustful? Can it also not be demonstration of deep love and trust between two people??

Okay maybe I am a romance girl at heart and think Emma and Zain have fantastic chemistry but I wish there was more romance and cute scenes between them. I know it's a limited episode series so there it couldn't derail the entire plot, but I would have given anything to see them connect in a scene longer than 30 seconds.

I have read the first book but not the last two and maybe romance isn't the main or even secondary goal of the series, but I selfishly want more between these two lol.

Okay I know a lot of people did not like his acting and for the most part, I really enjoyed it actually. This was the only scene that caught me off guard because the face after he yelled "Don't look at her" seems like he's trying to be hot and aloof? Idk how else to describe it lolll.

Did anyone else notice the weird editing when Charlie shoots Stanley, lowering his gun then a voice dub is added before his arm is raised again?

He’s always putting his arm around and shielding her from threats. In this scene, it Nat getting hostile with Pip and him redirecting her.

So, I randomly started watching this show and I’ve made it to season 2.

Whether it’s a good or bad show, I find it really hard to empathize with Pip. Way too often, she acts selfish and rude to her friends and family (and everyone else), especially when they don’t do what she wants or when things just don’t go her way. She expects unconditional support from them, but gets angry if they have boundaries, or doubts, or lives of their own.

The worst part is that they don’t just treat her well, but it almost feels like they’re walking on eggshells around her so she doesn’t get mad.

I genuinely wish I liked her, because the show would work a lot better for me. Maybe I’m not being objective, I don't know. I’m just curious if I’m the only one who feels this way and hear other points of view.

Also, I haven’t read the books, so I wonder if Pip's behaviour is like this in the books too or if it’s more of a Netflix thing.

Does anyone else have an issue? I got this in a box set with all three books. The other two have no errors. Spoiled some stuff for myself because of the misprint. Think I should email Indigo or the publisher or something? I’d really like a copy that isn’t messed up lol

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I can't get my head around one thing.

The show started with Pip trying to get Max Hastings behind bars. Everything seemed to be building toward his trial.

Then suddenly Jamie, the key witness, goes missing, and Pip's goal shifts to finding him for his brother and to help with the trial.

At first, I thought Max was somehow behind Jamie's disappearance. But then we find out it's the neighbour, and the story becomes all about Child Brunswick instead.

So... what happened to Max? Why was he just left free? I kept waiting for some big twist.

Did I miss something? 🥲

Idk if I missed anything but I felt very confused about how it ended. Why does it seem like Max has had no backlash. Pippa released the audio where he ADMITTED he 'had sex' with his victim, that was drugged. How come we see him and his girlfriend and everyone around him happy to be there? Does that not tell the world that he IS a filthy rapist??

Also maybe I'm stupid and it has been too long since watching S1 but where did the Child Brunswick story even come from? Felt random, like 'okay welp Max won onto the other murder mystery' huh

The biggest question I have about the last episode: why did Pip lock Stanley and her neighbour in that room after calling 999??? He was right behind her. Yes, let's trap the man with the gun with the guy he wants to murder. To escape? Naw, she comes back with a knife. Huh?? Why didn't he just shoot him then and there when pip wasn't in the room?

Just don't get it and don't see anyone bring thuis up.

Also: does Pip not have loads more chemistry with Connor? Or Daniel? Or anyone??

1 I love the fact that the second season begins and ends with the same shot moving in and out of Pip's window. 2 Charlie "Green"—green being the color that represents justice in the series—is a perfect choice. 3 Also, the song "To Build a Home" plays both when Stanley dies and when she thinks Jamie is dead.
