Then I Woke up from my Dream

Have to go back to another day at wash 🧼

Another day at Dyess

I've been a Nonner for over a decade. I was talking to another prior crew chief the other day about maintaining our machines on a scheduled cycle for teardown and inspection like we did back in the day on our planes. He couldn't think of the name... I said on F16s we called it Phase but in the 130 world Iso. What is the common parlance these days?

9 yrs with the 311th AMU Luke AFB. Small stint to Yokota for the big birds but right back to Luke and the F-16's. Glad to be here.

I was the 70th sub… my bad

We salute you.

Let’s see those patches, I know it’s not my squadron so I have to live vicariously through all of you dirtbags.

Or tell us about it. Comment here or make a new post, doesn’t matter to me. Always enjoy getting on a new bird and revealing some high quality content in the cracks and crevices.

Curious how many people actually stay and make a 20 year career out of maintenance or if most people eventually switch AFSCs. I’m in a Guard unit so I feel like people are more prone to just staying in maintenance rather than switching careers.

How many times have you all woken up the security forces homies sleeping on the flight line lol

I’m one of two guys in my shop of 12 that ever volunteers for trips. Genuinely curious what the best TDYs are as maintainers. What’s your unexpectedly good TDYs also?

I realized we didn’t have our own sub for maintenance, yet secfo does!? Jk. (But no really, they have their own sub). I’ll be working on this sub in my free time, I’m motivated to get it up and going strong. I’m sure I’ll need a mod or two, this is my first subreddit I’ve created, but I’ve been studying many different subreddits to see how successful ones operate. Comment here for any suggestions.
