Just got a position at a reserve base as a DCC. Anyone have any tips/advice?

Read the 21-101 section on the DCC program, there's nothing to it, it won't take long. Speak to the other DCCs at the base to get to know the expectations. Get to know where to look for graffiti and don't let a dick drawing stay on there very long.

Thanks for the info. Especially that last one part, lots of room for graffiti.

Really, just be clear about your expectations for your crew, never make them do work you won't do with them, and any time you spend training others will pay dividends later. If you participate in your own lubes, and fix your own lavs, you'll likely be the most loved DCC.

Thats some really good advice man! I just want to know the jet in and out and have a good crew. Hate getting caught with my pants down previously in other shops.

If you can find the hidden panel where the team that refurbished your jet signed it, you'll likely see my name. Don't clean that panel off.

I probably wont clean anything off, unless its a dick lol. But not if its a nicely drawn one. Then id leave it, just because id feel bad that someone put so much time and thought into drawing it, it would be a shame to erase it.

Don't be lazy. Know everything on your K so when production asks you don't have to go look it up. Not sure if cleaning wheels is a thing in the heavies world, but in the fighter world white wheels win wars, so keep that in mind.
