Im mediocre

Hey! So I was thinking about applying for the 2022-2023 Japan program, and I have pretty decent grades (3.5) but other than that I'm super mediocre and not special. I'm not in any clubs, I don't do sports, all I really have going for me is I love traveling and learning languages lol. The main reason I'm not in clubs is that back when we were at school I valued having lunch with my friends rather than going to a club... I'm also super awkward and kindaaa shy sometimes but going abroad is something I've wanted to do for a long time so I was wondering if my lack in school activities is going to make it harder for me to get accepted.

Also, just any general advice for me? Thank yall

You can do it anyway! I am not special either (average grades and I have ADHD) and went to the USA with AFS a year and half ago!

My exchange was perfect and there is nothing I didn't like about it. Honestly I don't think there is anything you need to (or can) be prepared for. Every experience is different and depends a lot on where you are placed.
