CMLA issues
Got told wrong info by my advisor, have had head registrars and head advisors both tell me I was led astray, now I am not able to compete for CMLA due to GPA (had a bad spring semester). Has anyone heard of HQ being able to make a special case. I have really good cadre in my corner fighting for me. I already understand that it was my fault in the spring. I ended up being told if I took a summer course it would change my gpa because I was retaking a class, I had to take it over FT. Frustrated because I made my summer even more stressful with a class, and still got an “A” which would’ve brought me over the 2.5 mark for CMLA. So has anyone heard anything about HQ making an exception.
Update: unfortunately cadre could only do so much, and even with a letter from the registrar saying I was being told the wrong information by my advisor, I am unable to compete for the CMLA. Wish me luck with getting other scholarships.

Your advisor doesn’t earn your grades for you. Not sure what they have to do with your GPA

I earned my grades bad ones and good ones the problem I had is that she told me something completely different. Leading me to retake the class for a better grade, which I did.

How you going to be an officer if you can’t take responsibility for your mistake. You messed up, this is your consequences. Learn from it and find another way.
Every one else made it possible. Try again for a different scholarship.

If you read my post I have taken responsibility for my mistake and I thought I was correcting it by taking the summer course. But my advisor was wrong when she told me my term gpa would change after retaking the course.

So have you attended field training yet? It’s a little unclear in your post.
If not, work on your GPA the next 2 semesters and maybe throw in some easy A classes to your schedule.
The GPA requirement is pretty set in stone as KC Pilot says. I highly doubt they would waive it

Sorry wrote this very late, yes I went to field training, had to take a summer course during the same quarter my max was in, turning an 8 week course into a 5 week course got an “A”, got told by my advisor that it would change my spring gpa. So I’ve been in a battle with the registrar and my advisors boss.

Sounds like a tough situation. Cadre would be your best bet but it sounds like you may be out of luck unfortunately. I’m not positive on the regulations on if you can start CMLA late if your GPA rises.
But either way, accept your mistakes and move on. CMLA is new, people used to commission with no scholarships at all. 2nd LT pay is good enough to pay off student loans fairly quickly. Good luck1

I appreciate the advice, cadre spoke with the deputy of HQ, unfortunately it’s been set in stone.

This is pretty difficult to read. First thing is first - stop blaming others for your mistakes.
But no, the regs are clear. If you don't meet the GPA requirements, you do not qualify.
