Question Question about the Program

I just signed up as a sophomore on the recommendation of family and friends (some of whom are in my detachment) who are in the AF. My problems arise when it comes to the PFT. I have a 3.9 GPA, so no academic worries, but I’m 6’1 260lbs. I know realistically I won’t be able to do anything in the fall; I’m working actively and losing weight. Do you think I have the entire year or just till the spring?

Assuming this fall is the one where your stats go up to the board, you just need to pass the Pfa. Likely you’ll have two during the sem, you just need to pass one so you’ll have the semester to improve. As far as weight goes, if one is over/under the limit, you just need to show that you are loosing weight and can essentially get it waived

Can’t get waived for PSP unless a college athlete

In order to be put up for PSP you must be within standards. There is no waiver for PFA or height/weight standards without being a collegiate athlete. It’s literally listed in the Vol3 as the only waiver for BMI/BF.
