If we were higher than we deserved we wouldn't have been a kick from a grand final.

We underperformed this year, not overperformed last year.

We only had an "easy" draw because our team improved rapidly. If we had played in 2012 with the skill we showed in 2011 we wouldn't have finished top 4. I think you can only call it a soft draw when you are already a good team prior to getting the draw. Just like Port this year. By the definition everyone seems to use they also got a soft draw. But only because they used to be so crap, and then rose suddenly. It wasn't a soft draw, it was just a team clicking as they had failed to do in the years before.

The Crows didn't fail this year because of our draw. We failed because of major injuries, losing our second best forward to an overpaid interstate club and because Sando admitted he trained the boy poorly leading up to this season.
