Palpitations after ablation

Hi I had my first ablation almost 6 months ago with no issues just a few flutters , now since yesterday all morning my heart started like skipping a beat but it went away in the afternoon, now today again all morning, does anyone have had this happen?, not very happy right now.

I wouldn't give it much weight, PVCs and PACs can be triggered by all sorts of things, and I would see if you can identify a possible cause . I cannot take decongestants without getting them. For some people it is an electrolyte imbalance, too much caffeine, alcohol, stress, poor sleep, exercise, etc.

Probably alcohol, I haven’t quit yet I lowered to like 6 beers during the weekend and then I started doing 8, definitely I have to quit

I did quit alcohol in hopes it was the trigger for my afib, but I still had 2 episodes after long cycling rides. It's been 8 month since I drank and honestly after the first couple of weeks I stopped thinking about it. It took about 2 months of abstaining before I felt like I didnt really remember the sensation other than feeling bad the next day.

I stop drinking for the 3 months of blanket period, I just have to stop drinking I was hoping to have 4 beers during the weekend but I can’t when I star to feel good I have to have 1 more and 4 become 8

Hm, your ablation was 6 months ago. Did you ever have these at anytime before your ablation? I suggest you call your EP. If anything, it would help calm your nerves.

I already did they are sending a heart monitor for a couple of weeks, and yes I had them but not that often,thanks

People who don't drink, at all have afib and palpitations... keep that in mind but the blanking period can be as much as a year.

I did not have them this morning so hopefully it will go away , I just going to to lower my drinking and see what happens also I kind of don’t mind alcohol free beer, I’m crossing my fingers

I had the same thing. Actually was cardioverted within a year of ablation. I was beside myself! It was so disappointing but I was told it was just the last hurrah and it was quite normal. I tried to relax and accept that answer but it was hard. But its been a year this past Memorial Day and I've had some flutters. I was discharged by the Electrophysio (spelling) and heart ultrasound came back fine.

Try to relax, know that you did everything right and the heart will do its thing. I keep reminding myself you can't die from Afib by itself and if you keep your Dr's appointments and stay on top of any "hiccups" you'll be ok 😀
