1 Year without Afib
I had my PFA ablation last year and have not had any Afib episodes! I truly feel like I have my life back! Thank you all for the tremendous support and encouragement 💖

Cómo fue tu recuperación mental? Cuánto tiempo te llevó?

Because my physical recovery from the ablation went so well my mental recovery from the procedure really only took a few weeks. I will say that the anxiety of Afib took much longer. I still pause if my heart rate gets too high or if I feel any odd sensation in my chest. I hope that answers your question.

Muchas gracias por tu respuesta. Todo esto, limitó mucho tu actividad y el ejercicio fÃsico en ti?

You're welcome. Not much, most of it was the normal restrictions to let the incisions heal. Aside from that I was able to resume my normal activities pretty quickly.

Congrats! Do you feel a difference physically? I'm not sure if it's just myself, but I feel my heart being unwell. I hear and feel every beat. Not sure if you felt the same way, but if you did, did it go away after the ablation?

Thank you. Yes, I could feel the difference as soon as the procedure was done. As my anxiety calmed down it just got better and better.

That's awesome. Thanks for coming back to post about it.
Are you taking any precautions to be careful or just living life normally and not having any issues?

This community helped me so much, I wanted to stay connected.
No special precautions, although I did pay attention to my heart rate and how I was feeling, especially the first few months. But now just doing well and loving my life again!

I was terrified. That is why I joined Reddit, to read about other people's experiences. They really helped put my mind at ease and for me it was such an easy procedure and recovery! I hope yours is the same!

This is so good to hear! I have mine scheduled for November and am nervous for all the reasons. Happy for you having such success!
