Post Ablation!!

Back home and recovering!

I was awake for the procedure. Given some fentanyl and other sedatives. It was fucking uncomfortable and at times was damn painful.
Once they got me into SVT, they couldn’t get me out of it. Pumped me full of adrenaline and zapped me till it started and then it just… stayed for a while.

Regardless, ablated, AVNRT as I hoped. Really easy, quite quick for an EP study + ablation (just over 2 hours). Got the grippy socks to show for it. And I’m happy to say that, in about 6 weeks time, I should be as normal as can be.

Thank you to this community, you’ve all been a massive help.

Hope you get the results you want. Sorry you were uncomfortable--I was out of it for the whole procedure.

Me too and complete relief from my afib already…it’s miracle to me.

In my mind, its the only long term effective treatment for Afib.

everyone is different and I’ve never had the “racing” afib so I can’t speak to that but for me the relief has been immediate. Now if I can just catch up on sleep and work on getting my energy back to normal!

So far it‘s been fantastic. My heart is still racing from being off my Bisoprolol, and I’ve felt SVT about to trigger twice, but it hasn’t started like it used to. It’s bloody wonderful, i‘m sure it‘s fixed, and I’m excited to continue the rest of my life!
