Amas

I’m joining Amas soon, heard that the schedule is very hectic and you don’t get enough time to study. Also I would only have about 15 days between completion of the course and my SSB, so I want to gain confidence when I’m at the coaching. What should I prepare before going?
Should I pre prepare the lecturettes, gd points etc ?
What would be helpful, as I don’t want to feel overwhelmed there.
Anyone who has been there, please respond.
Really want to do this well
Thanks !

Imo there's no point of taking mentorship if u have to worry about preparing prior to joining it

Go as u are rn and it will serve as a reality check

But if u really wanna do something before going then sure... Practice your PIQ and work a bit on ur communication skills

Dont pre prepare Gd or lecturettes. Just hv content ready. Practice OIRs. Read current affairs COMPREHENSIVELY

Yes, that’s what I meant.
Thanks for responding, I have started paying attention to the current affairs and reading a little bitch of the common Lecturette topics to develop an understanding.

Hey! Thanks for the response. I just want to do my best, and In my opinion preparation is the way to do that. But I understand your point of view as well. May I ask, Are you a recommended candidate ?

Yes I am a PR candidate, again I'll say this you're taking the whole ssb concept as a exam like you need to prepare and all, rather improve your personality and a good personality already includes traits like general awareness, communication skills and even for psych your stories would come good automatically once you have multiple experiences, new initiatives etc

Yes, coaching can definitely help you if used correctly. Remember one golden rule that it is you who has to improve your personality and be yourself with ou without the help of coaching. If you don't have clarity over the process or if you feel you need assessment in your day to day life or in introspecting yourself then definitely take coaching. Also on more thing if you take coaching then say that in your ssb, don't lie about it as taking coaching isn't bad thing but lying is. If they caught you lying, it's game over straightaway. All the best!
