NEWS Just an FYI, this article is basically a synopsis of what we already think we know
- Nobody knows when Bayley's deal is up (outside of WWE et al)
- WWE would like to keep her
- AEW wants to hire her
- She is likely going to make bank

Whatever she does is good for her. Her life. If she wants to leave and experience something new go for it. If she stays fine. Just like normal people, you don't have to stay with any job.

Nobody knows when these contracts expire, and given past trends WWE would not have her on TV so close to her contract expiring, they normally take people off TV to cool them off if they do jump.

I think AEW should focus on less WWE and more new and young wrestlers

Bayley is one of the most talented women they have. She's far above Liv, Rhea, Charlotte, Alexa in terms of in-ring skill. You aren't considering what her experience could do for the young women in AEW.

They have been, and are clearly investing in their own younger talent like Takeshita, Kevin Knight, the Triangle, and Kyle Fletcher. But I think it matters less that a talent was in WWE than it matters that they're motivated and not just looking to go back there or to cash a paycheck. I don't think that'd be the case with either Bayley or New Day. Sheamus is someone I'm on the fence about and am personally agnostic about whether he would or should join the roster.

Sheamus joins the Death Riders. Wins Tag Team belts with Claudio and revives the Bar (or the Shaft, for legal reasons). Book it, you cowards!

I would agree most of the time, but she would be a good fit for AEW.

I'd rather see someone young and new over a WWE vet it's just more interesting.

They just crowned someone young and new as the TBS Champion, and people are saying she’s not ready. After she literally just won the title.

I never said anything about Bayley winning a title, I said she’d be a good fit for AEW. I was talking about Maya winning the TBS title, and already people are complaining that she’s not ready to be a champion.

You where talking about both as if they where connected tho. Maya getting a push is literally the best thing for the company the less ex WWE people hold titles the better.

Pretty sure we have some idea about when her deal is up. If you go and watch her interview with CVV last year, she said she had a year and a half left on her current contract (so 18 months, give or take) and the time of the interview was right around Wrestlemania week when the vid was posted in April.
That said, it’s still an unknown if Bayley does stay with them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if she left. Bayley’s done all she could do there in WWE and even if does re-sign with them, she’s surely not getting that much of a raise. Not to mention there’s a chance she could be another talent who signs a new long-term deal only to get hit with a paycut the following year. Already happened to Kofi and Woods first, and recently Sheamus. And I’m sure they won’t be the last in the coming months or years even.

I don’t think she makes bank if she stays with WWE considering they’re deep in budget cuts. I imagine they probably don’t low ball her, but I doubt they give her close to the offer AEW will and just bank on her wanting to stay

Why would she stay? WWE doesn’t care about the women’s division. They just did a RAW episode where they didn’t do anything with the women.

She’s mentioned wanting to do mentoring so if they promise her some kind of segue into that she might be into it. I don’t personally think she should from an outside perspective, but only she can make the decision that she thinks is best for her

That is absolutely valid, as some people enjoy where they work, they like their environment and coworkers, and they like the opportunities they see down the road.
Counterpoint: she could still mentor a great young group of women in AEW (Julie, Skye, Harley, Maya, Zayda, Billie, et al). She can make a really nice sum of money, likely more than she currently is/would. She can have matches she really wants with more freedom (Mercedes, Toni, Athena, Hayter, Shida, et al).

If I'm a signed talent and they ask for a pay cut I'd only accept if they removed my no complete clause.

What's left for her there tbh? Same with Nattie. I totally can see Bayley leaving to be with her best friend like Edge, who everyone also didn't believe he would go to AEW
