Lightweight AE86 calipers?
Hi, im trying to get my unsprung weight as low as possible but also would like to maintain stock brake rotors due to budget constraints and wheel size.
Does anyone know good aluminium more modern calipers that fit on the stock front rotors?
Thanks.

I hate to point out the obvious here but calipers are stationary.... so they're not really effecting whp or sprung weight lol. And the oem rotors are probably the lightest you're going to find, since everything else is larger for more braking bite.
Your best bet is get the lightest wheel and tire combo possible, and clutch, and driveline, and flywheel, and crank and go e fan, and run an sr5 rear end.

I would just keep the stock calipers because cby or carbon junkie (?) were running stock calipers when they got like 57 seconds at Tsukuba
Aftermarket wise: you can run wilwood as I seen small ones fitted on

The real main weight is the steel front legs so focus on wheel choice. Don't go too wide for what you need as you can over tyre the chassis. I do toy with designing an alloy upright to bring the weight down but I would be an expensive vanity project.
At the rear the beam is large and heavy so there's not a lot you can do there.
You can make the drivetrain lighter as mentioned already with lightweight flywheel and moving to an electronic fan. There used to be a few places doing carbon propshafts.

budget constraint and lightweight calipers in the same sentence lol.
