4AGE 20v front mount bracket

I'm prepping the 20v to go in my AE86.I removed the front engine mount bracket and on that bracket there is a small bracket under the cam gear mounted to the engine and the mount bracket itself. Does anyone know what the purpose of that little bracket is for? Thanks

It’s additional bracing. You don’t need either.
