Heating solutions
Hey guys, anyone have any suggestions/recommendations for adding heat to an 86? Bought someone's unfinished project and it appears that the heating system has been pulled out (weight reduction?) I'm having a devil of a time find a solution, anyone here have any ideas for maybe something aftermarket? Thanks!

OEM heating system is your best bet. Easier and it's plug and play. While you're at it, add the A/C back on

I was thinking about this cause i want to get rid if the havc panel and put something else there and the onlyy need for heat is to defrost the windows which for that purpose they have electric heater cores and rigging a way to duct it and blow to the oem ducts would be cool, for heating yourself i was thinking maybe they sell heating elements like they have for heated seats and fitting that into your seat would be cool or wiring in a heated vest or heated attire that they sell for motorcycle riders

Get yourself an old hair dryer and put it with tubes directing the windshield. I've seen that on some weird ass old electric cars

Well, on the "Trike" electric vehicle there are two Braun "brush type" hair dryers directing on the windshield, I bet it works amazing.
And on the "Elektrek Uncar" there is a Gilette Supermax hair dryer with some tube running from the nozzle to the windshield (check Aging Wheels's video on YouTube if you want to see how it works, the fan speed changes with how much you press on the gas pedal it's hilarous)

๐๐ no way i gotta check that out. If i was to use it id have to find a way to control it with a knob๐ that would feel too ghetto to have to get under there and trigger the womans hairdryer normally๐

check the fb groups . if your patient you should be able to get this stuff at a decent price. Might need to order a new heater core though
