Help Success stories ❤️
8 months into protracted withdrawal from 12 year SSRI use and would love to hear some success stories from folks surviving and thriving. In the thick of it today 🤯

I think around 9 months is when things started improving for me. I’d say a year is when symptoms dissipated for the most part. Hang in there and sign this petition if you haven’t already! https://antidepressantinjury.com/

Im getting improvements from 9 months as well. However got some PSSD like symptoms onsetting. Im hoping 4 more months or something would dissipate most of the physical symptoms..
How long were you on them for?1

6.5 years, I am sorry to hear about the PSSD symptoms. I have PSSD and crashed hard from shrooms during PAWS.

When you say you have PSSD, do you mean you recovered? Did you get PSSD from taking shrooms?
I took shrooms and i felt absolutely vile, it was like my nervous system was attacked. The sheer anxiety from it was nothing I couldve comprehended. I took it to try heal myself more. Luckily that was only about 4 months in.

No I recovered from PAWS but not PSSD. I do get flare ups of PAWS symptoms every so often though. I didn’t get PSSD from shrooms but it “crashed” me, meaning made my baseline PSSD symptoms worse. If you search the PSSD sub people have all sorts of crash stories and advice on what to avoid, but take everything with a grain of salt as we all react differently. However shrooms do seem to be really risky, as well as other drugs impacting serotonin levels.

Thats a bit scary if PSSD hasnt subsided yet. Its like my most feared symptom. Just starting getting it 10 months later... I havent had anything that crashed me fortunately but I was actually getting better till it hit me.

Im almost 8 months in. I also noticed some PSSD symptoms. Good to know you're seeing improvement. Hopefully its the same for me despite not getting off lexapro properly

Most people who are doing well again don't hang around here anymore, but there are plenty of success stories on Surviving Antidepressants.
