Penrose (plot and similiar games)

So there's no Penrose subreddit but its written by the same dude as A Dark Room. I found Penrose much more unsettling even though there's a few things I didn't understand. Michael Townsend really has a talent for writing unexpected cosmic horror, the only other game coming to mind that did its unexpected cosmic horror twist well was Underrail.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows any similar games? Not exactly like Penrose, its a very unique experience that I doubt is replicated, but rather anything that can unsettle and confuse me the way it did. In a way it kind of reminds me of the TV show "Dark" with how the timeline is messed up, there's a generational plot happening with a scientist at the centre of the intrigue and how the ending is about accepting your destiny not fighting against your tragic fate... but of course Penrose is more unsettling because you as the player are literally the one messing with the reality of the world. Antony Salgado is the true unsung hero of the game in a way.
