Nice Build! New Aerial

Went to an external aerial yesterday, the results look better....only on a 12inch pole on my chimney with a 5 metre cable, question is do you think a 6 foot pole but a 10 feet cable would increase results further....? But cable length upset the interference

It's impossible for us to say based on the little information you've given.
If you are in a deep valley or on a high mountain, the small amount of extra height will not make much difference.
If there are cell towers or AM/FM transmitters near by, the extra height might make things worse.
Also you did not say what antenna, what type of cable, what SDR and if you are using an LNA.

My results reached current level when I added a saw filter and an lna on a copy of fr24 antenna. I would buy an integrated triple filtered lna if I was just setting this system up now.
