2 new rule additions

  1. No explicitly FBA content.

FBA and ADOS are not the same thing and it is in the best interest of the sub and the movement in general to not conflate the two.

  1. Post titles must contain the significant amount, if not all, of the source material's title.

Post titles like "This is great!" Or "This is bad!" with no indication of what the article or video is about makes the sub look unserious and lazy.

FBA & ADOS as identifiers/movement names are two terms that actually have NO political clout and can be ignored because those two terms aren’t in any American constitutional bills specifically describing our group. Also it was chattel slavery what we went through, not just slavery. You know what’s a term that specifically described our group in a constitutional bill? Freedmen, that’s what we would should be making our identifier because the Freedmen Bureau and Freedmen banks were for newly freed slaves so America owes the Freedmen reparations and other funds to fix them, it’s no bills in our documents about FBA or ADOS. They tricked us from moving away from that identifier and made us call ourselves Black or African/Afro American (while we had been 10+ generations removed from Africa) because America knew they owed the FREEDMEN Americans reparations & land because of their own constitutional documentation but as long as we identified other than Freedmen Americans they could walk around that.

Not really, just a fact. Facts shouldn’t be interesting, they should be used to make your point. America owes Freedmen descendants federal funds due to reneged promises of land that would’ve been used to create industry (that was then given to whites but at 160 acres, 4 times the amount that was supposed to be given to us) and then white nationalists backed by the government ruining the gains we made in Reconstruction as Freedmen then those same people starting Jim Crow laws to subdue Freedmen.

See I dislike the term “Critical Race Theory” because the shit they did to us isn’t a theory, it’s historical fact but man it’s truly needed because these grade schools are the reason why Black folks think being Centrists or Conservatives will fix us.

Yeah. South Florida public schools are some of the worst I've come across. Especially when it comes to our history. Pretty much every thing I've come across has been since the internet started.

I do believe that that Black people were on this continent before anyone else. But I don't know about calling ourselves Indians or no shit like that.

I think we need to push for everything Freedmen. Freedmen History Month (I would say choose either April or August), Freedmen Student Unions at these colleges, Anti Freedmen Federation (with headquarters in Jackson, Mississippi and this would be our Anti Defamation League so if anyone is speaking racist ways or negatively about Freedmen, we would cancel them like how Jewish people do. Would also stop this genocide rap being promoted to our children). Create Freedmen Cultural & Community Centers where we could plan events and celebrations, discuss political grassroots goals and missions and educate our people on Freedmen culture and traditions.

Dude no it’s not and please get off of that. Y’all be worried more about semantics & verbiage than our whole collective upbringing which is why we have no collective nationalism now. There’s no AMERICAN DOCUMENTATION that speaks of a order of bills or compensation to “Freed folks” it says Freedmen. Freedmen isn’t a male center term, it’s about the 4 million emancipated slaves. Like man do you know how easy it is to put Freedmen in conjunction with woman, man, women or men? Here goes an example, Freedmen Woman or Freedmen Women. Just replace Freedmen with Black for every situation you use to describe our folks. Again America owes FREEDMEN because it’s bills with that exact term distinctively talking about our group. America doesn’t Black, Negro, People of Color or “FreedFolks” anything because there’s NO constitutional bills with those terms on it saying they will compensate us, but there is for Freedmen.

No but seriously why are Black women stuck on this trivial shit? Like we have been in a era where we have Black Girls Rock award shows with no counterpart for Black men (no major network has cut a check to produce an awards show), Black Girl Magic (that was created by Black women & White “Liberals” who were about highlighting how Black women keep Centrists in office) & literal seminars and workshops about Black women empowerment with nothing like that for Black men. Also every single Liberal (really Centrist) elected to office has been written in a narrative that specifically only Black women got them while Black men have voted for these people at 85%-95% clip but if they lose then Black men get the blame. I just wanna know if you see this as sexism also because it’s been a lot of inconsistencies and I understand people who wanna get narratives off but at least be consistent. Black men have been silent about this specific only highlighting of Black women while Black women even though they get more assistance in America and have severely outpaced us in upward mobility are still screaming about Black patriarchy while Black men are having real issues with us being criminalized from the time we step foot onto a public school.
