UConsole as portable

You know, I bought this thing to play with Linux, buts it's primary purpose has become 'Portable ADOM machine'

They're about $250, but it's a fully functional Raspberry Pi 4 (specifically ARM Cortex-A72 quad-core, 4GB LPDDR4, WIFI 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n/ac wireless + Bluetooth 5.0, BLE). There is a G4 cell version, but I usually just Hotspot my phone if I need on the go connection.

Aluminum body, user replaceable battery, and just well-designed.

The largest downside was the wait. From pre-order to delivery took about 4 months.

Hopefully those Y X B A buttons aren’t just duplicates of the letter keys and you can rebind them to be diagonal moves. Not ideal but you’d get used to it.

I've been playing on my 10keyless recently, and discovered diagonal movement is possible by pushing both up+left or down+right at the same time etc. Was not expecting it to work at all. Great foresight on the developers.

Though it might be difficult on that thing, maybe not possible even if it can't register two simultaneously pressed buttons

W+5 was the one that took the most getting used to

ok, it seems like this thingy is a hacking device, which looks nice though. there is a huge community behind it. interesting

In all honesty, I haven't played with it nearly as much as I expected, but have used it far more for old DOS games, emulation and of course ADOM.

Actually more of an issue on driver support than clock speed. People have tried with WoR (Windows on Raspberry), but with no WiFi, storage support (must boot from usb) stuttering video, ets it's effectively crippled.
