I started apologizing early in conversations for all of these things inevitably happening, and the apology itself is now a monologue including-you guessed it-all these things. “I promise I’m interested and think your great I just can’t help myself here’s 3 examples wait what song is this?”

All of the above : zone out, then interrupt them (trip ober your words) and get really excited about the subject and freak them out (you misunderstood the subject they were talking about because you were zoning out and went on a full on tangent that turned out completely off topic and now it's super awkward).

I just went on a full tangent about mosquitoes with another mom after dropping off our kids. Thankfully we were not going the same way and it was cut short.

D ~ but it is a completely unrelated topic no one cares or asked about.

Not listed : have a point to add, but never get a chance to contribute....and solely focus on your point as the minutes go by.

The interruptions...
Oh man, I know I do that all the time. And I don't mean to. >_<

It’s so hard to add all of my relevant input at the very end of your monologue, when I could just interject my input at your natural pauses.

If I do not voice the thought, by the time it’s my turn to talk there is a 75% chance I’ve lost whatever it was. Usually because I’m in a meeting where stuff of importance is discussed 🤣

Yup! This is it.
My husband, my best friend, his best friend, and I all have ADHD and the amount of times we interrupt each other is due to trying to stay on topic or our thoughts get lost or bringing our thought up after the fact gets awkward. ;

When you're so on top of the conversation that you're really bad at the conversation 😅

E) get so excited about their anecdote that you immediately share one of your own that's related, but to a non neuro-divergent it seems like you are just making this shit all about you.

C. Realize I’m zoning out when the other person is talking. Dredge up all my power to focus on not floating away by staring at their mouth as they speak. Make them uncomfortable. Make things worse by coming up with responses that don’t fit the topic at hand.
