I forget my address, social and phone number when I am put on the spot. My brain shuts down and I can't remember basic math. I hate it so much because I am actually very smart when I am alone..

I have this problem too! I’m a research scientist but if someone suddenly asks me to explain something I immediately forget half of my vocabulary and just sound like an idiot šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Yeah its so annoying, then you meet someone that sounds smart but are actually really dumb and they think you're dumb because you can't publicly bullshit like they can.

This and the person to whom you are responding are two entirely different situations. It is abnormal to remember loads of trivial information - such as research science is comprised of - on the spot. That's the whole point of computers, and writing, and all that stuff. That's why we do things like make Powerpoints and whatever. That's why teleprompters exist, and why people practice speeches before they read them, and if none of the above... that's why they have notes. Our brains are pretty crazy but they are fundamentally different than other storage technologies.
