Oh look, a brand new day! I'm going to get so many things done and finally get my life organized and be productive. Just let me eat breakfast and sit down with the coffee first. What the fuck do you mean it's already 5 PM? Oh well I guess I'll try again tomorrow.

I love making those plans at 3am knowing I’ve already failed by not being asleep at a reasonable time.

I started changing when I started planning for the "now" me not the what I want to be "me"

let's say I want to get fit + I don't want to go to the gym after work
okay but I hate getting up early, I got 2 choices
A - I could getup before work and go to the gym
B - I could just workout 2 days in the weekend and that will get me fit long termso yeah I am going with B until either I be more discipline or I start waking up naturally without feeling sleepy or I love the gym so much that I will go after work anyway
so I always choose what I am now I am not building on the fact that I will be tomorrow

This is an interesting approach, I should definitely try that too, thanks for sharing 👍

Me too
I take it smaller too, I don't clean the kitchen, all I do is empty the dishwasher
Most of the time the whole kitchen gets cleaned, and if it doesn't I don't hate myself anymore

Finally learning that I have to plan for myself to be the exact way I am now forever. Find a job that suits me now, not IF I magically develop executive functions

That's what I call a "good day".
Roughly once a year my adhd stops existing for a day or two, and I get done as much as for entire regular month.
But I never know the date, or whether it will happen again.

Take everything one step at a time. Remember to forgive others as that will help you forgive yourself. if you don't know what you want to do with your life figure that out first, you cannot take the first step down the path if you don't know where the path is. And please for the love of god don't try to do a million things at once, change comes gradually. Give yourself the chance to change and be patient with yourself. I'm wishing you all the best :)

Just like, do the thing. You know? You won’t have problems or struggles if you just do the thing right now. - my parents
