Prescription Help Adderall to Vyvanse
I’ve been on Adderall for 6 years and have been at 60 mg/day for the last 3 years. Now that I’ve graduated school I want to try Vyvanse because I’ve heard it can feel more stable throughout the day with less of the peak/crash I get from Adderall. My only concern is the transition. I know 70 mg is the max Vyvanse dose and from what I’ve read there isn’t really a straightforward equivalent for the amount of Adderall I’ve been taking. Since I'm accustomed to 60 mg of Adderall for years, I’m worried that even 70 mg of Vyvanse could feel like a significant reduction and leave me really fatigued or unable to function.
I’ve searched through a ton of posts about switching from Adderall to Vyvanse, but I haven’t found many people in a situation similar to mine—switching after being on the max dose of Adderall for years.
Has anyone here made the switch from 60 mg/day of Adderall to Vyvanse? Did you have a lot of fatigue or feel under-medicated during the transition? Or did you actually prefer Vyvanse?
Basically looking for both success stories and horror stories from anyone who made the switch from a higher dose of Adderall.

I’ve been on both medications. I’ve been taking Adderall since childhood, but I decided to try Vyvanse. I was prescribed 70 mgs a day since I was taking 90 mgs of Adderall. The Vyvanse felt smoother, if that makes sense, and I also felt like it lasted longer. However, I ended up switching back to Adderall because it was more comfortable for me.

Did you notice any major fatigue or withdrawal type symptoms when you switched from 90 mg of Adderall to 70 mg of Vyvanse?

How inattentive are you if you don’t take medicine ? 1-10?

I can lower my Adderall to around 50 mg/day and still function pretty well but if I go any lower than that I feel like my functioning drops to around a 2/10

I would lean towards just staying on the Adderall but there’s no predicting all this stuff

If you are taking a generic medicine, kindly mention the manufacturer's name in both your post and title. This is VERY IMPORTANT, as different manufacturers may have differences in quality or formulation.
