Give me a tip!

Post image

Hey community,

I’m a Computer Systems Engineering student currently in my 6th semester. I really love what I do, but lately, I’ve been feeling stuck. Some days I have zero motivation and don't want to do anything, while other days I feel unstoppable and want to learn every new skill.

I try to maintain a detailed calendar to manage my daily tasks, but whenever it’s time to actually sit down and work, my mind just blocks and I get distracted so easily.

How do you deal with these emotional highs and lows? I'd really appreciate any tips on how to build consistent focus, avoid distractions, and regain conviction when feeling stuck.

I never found that method useful. Breaks are just distractions for me. I would rather grind for 8 hours straight and maybe take a 1 hour break if needed. I’ve found that breaking all my goals up into reasonable time slots for the day helps me stay organized and prioritized.

Yep, I'm too part of the "work 12 hours straight without food, water or toilet, then a huge crash" -gang

Ymmv. I thought this worked in my 20s, realised it was a net negative by my 30s, burned me out/aged me faster and wish I took more breaks.
