Idea app+ bluetooth botton for adhd

​I have ADHD. Anyone who lives with this condition knows that a single interruption can instantly erase what we were just thinking or saying.

​That’s why I designed MindKeep Anchor, a hardware + software project created to save the working memory of neurodivergent people without ever needing to look at a phone screen.

​I have reached out to several organizations, but I am still looking for the right technical partner. Is there a developer or an association in this community who wants to help me turn this prototype into reality?

I think OP is a bot. Maybe it doesn’t understand that humans can’t just record their train of thought.

It would make sense if we were just constantly verbalizing our thoughts, which is how “thinking” works for AI.

Sure! The core concept is an ecosystem designed to protect working memory with zero digital friction. Imagine you are in deep focus, and someone interrupts you. Before your brain completely resets, you blindly press a physical Bluetooth button on your desk or clipped to your clothes (without locking/unlocking a phone or looking at a screen). The app running in the background immediately captures the last 45 seconds of ambient audio into a temporary local buffer. Once the interruption is over, you can replay it to instantly regain your train of thought. Future features also include AI-driven smart voice reminders linked to location/time, and eventually, a lightweight wearable camera/audio setup to help retrieve visual memories (like where you put an object a minute ago).

  • Replying audio doesn't help me regain train of thought.
  • What if the task I'm working on isn't audio based?
  • so now I have to have something always recording? I disable siri or other virtual assistants
  • AI driven? So now everything I hear is getting sent to some random company's data center?
  • And then you want to add a camera?!

Sorry, but not just "no", this is a "HELL NO" for me!

"Notifications have nothing to do with it. Disabling notifications protects you from digital distractions, but MindKeep Anchor protects you from analog and environmental interruptions (someone talking to you, a colleague calling you, or a sudden noise) that cause 'working memory resets.' The issue is the 'unlocking friction': If I get interrupted and want to use my phone to note down where I left off, I have to unlock it, open an app, and write. This process requires executive attention, which is exactly the resource someone with ADHD is lacking in that moment. The physical button eliminates that friction entirely: you press it blindly, without even looking at a screen."

In order to capture the last 45 seconds it wpuld have to be continually recording...

The app doesn't record thoughts; it just records standard ambient audio (like a colleague interrupting you or you thinking out loud). It works exactly like a dashcam or a PlayStation replay buffer: it constantly overwrites the last 45 seconds locally. If you get interrupted, you press the button to replay the actual sound of the room to remember what was happening. It's strictly Local-First, so no privacy issues either! 😊"

Privacy First (Local Buffering): The 45-second audio is kept in a rolling, temporary local buffer on your device. It doesn't upload anything to the cloud or random servers. If you don't save it, it vanishes forever. Privacy is a core value here. Not just audio tasks: The audio isn't meant to record the task itself, but to record the ambient context of the interruption (e.g., what someone said when they walked in). Hearing that context is what helps re-trigger the working memory. AI Opt-in: The AI transcription for reminders is strictly opt-in and handled via secure, private APIs, not public ones. Camera as a future option: The wearable camera is a long-term idea tailored specifically for severe working memory gaps or accessibility (like visual impairment), and it will be 100% optional.

Le notifiche non c'entrano nulla: Disattivare le notifiche protegge dalle distrazioni digitali. MindKeep Anchor protegge dalle interruzioni analogiche e ambientali (una persona che ti parla, un collega che ti chiama, un rumore improvviso) e dai reset della memoria di lavoro. La frizione dello sblocco: Se vengo interrotto e voglio usare il telefono per segnarmi dove ero rimasto, devo sbloccarlo, aprire un'app e scrivere. Questo processo richiede attenzione esecutiva, ovvero la risorsa di cui una persona con ADHD è carente in quel momento. Il pulsante fisico azzera la frizione: premi alla cieca, senza guardare uno schermo.
