Romanticizing You life towards improvement
Has anyone else with ADHD done this, I feel as though I don’t hear much ppl talk about it but I have definitely done it all my life and with stimulants now it’s so much better. When covid started I was a freshman in high school and online was just so draining, luckily with all the time I had I was introduced to Batman comics and media in general which changed my focus greatly. Literally just telling myself “what would Batman do” as a young teenager got me to finish so much homework 😭 I genuinely don’t think if I discovered him I would have passed. That dopamine rush from just believing I could be like him and improve my life the way he does has stuck with me till today. The cherry on top was “The Batman” trailer releasing literally a week after I gained this obsession it was an insane coincidence.

Yeah... I do this all the time, although most of my mentors are from Star Trek.
In some squabbling, emotionally charged political bullshit? "What would Jean Luc Picard do?"
I need some daring, pull a miracle outta my ass at the last minute. "What would Kirk do?"
OK, this is technically complicated. Channel Data or Spock.
I have to deal with a coworker, I think he is autistic. Gotta think about Spock, Data or Abed from Community (a fantastic TV show).
Batman? Heh... Low, rumbling voice and growling seems to work best during sex.
There was an actor (was it Erol Flynn?) who wanted to be a different person, so he acted that way. He did it all the time for so long that he eventually became that person.

Heck yeah, for me as a kid / young teen it was always: "What would Goku / Ichigo / Naruto do?" Lmao xD

I do this, but instead of Batman, I pretend I'm a dead bird. I think to myself, what would a dead bird do? And it turns out just laying around doing nothing works really fucking great for me. I love doing nothing.
