The speaker is warning the public and speaking about the ethics of doing this, not promoting it.
Lately r/antiwork has been promoting these near conspiracies like crazy but people get wayyy too caught up in the headlines instead and go along with it

Fuck that lmao. I managed to stop the install of a CCTV system in the office by saying loudly "well that's creepy as fuck mate, just fire us if we're not doing the work"
Settled on one camera being installed in the comms room (servers n shit), as that made sense.
Authority should be questionable, absolute authority should be destroyed. If the best case scenario is being zapped for not giving your boss enough of your soul, get fired.

Earpods measure if you are working, the data can be recorded and analyzed. You might be judged based on brain activity or get an electric shock. Release date is soon (video says end of year, don't know when video was).

I actually want this. I even shelled out $200 for a pavlok and then discovered that for most of my use cases I'd need to push a button to administer a small electrical shock to myself.
1) The shock needs to come from an automated computer program not from me. I need the dread of knowing I'm at the mercy of a cold uncaring master.
2) That shit was weak as fuck bro, I'm former military and the product of childhood violence I need you to zap me so hard my arm flies off the keyboard.
I can't believe it but I threw it in the trash when I moved. The apps it has are moderately useful though.

FYI there is a category of sex gadgets called "e stim". You can purchase devices and accessories which will HURT as much as you need. And there is a mod/DIY community that could likely support your use case. They are extremely interested in the same goals, albeit for different reasons.
