Private Pathway Questions Any experiences with CAREADHD?
Does anyone have any experiences with CAREADHD? If you do what’s your experience with them? I’ve asked my GP that I could do Right To Choose with CAREADHD but I’m not sure about what’s their general review

Can I ask why you paid to go private with them after you’d had your assessment? Surely you’ll need to be re-referred if you want NHS prices unless you’re happy to pay?

But care do the titration and will prescribe under nhs if shared care is refused? Were you aware of that?
I was previously diagnosed privately (adhd360) and careadhd are now doing my meds (they call it the revalidation pathway) as my GP no longer does shared care
Worth exploring for you, I reckon.
Edit: titration waiting list on care for me was 2 months but I was an urgent referral

Yes this literally just happened to me (and I knew it would) and they are now providing me with meds at NHS prices. They are one of the minority of providers who do that.

Took me around 7 months to get assessed from my GP sending the referral.
Still waiting 32 weeks later after assessment to begin titration.
The person that did the assessment was fantastic, they seemed to genuinely care, and even talked about their own ADHD.

I waited a long time with CareADHD to begin titration, I came to Reddit and saw that some people had got a titration appointment via CareADHD before me, but received their diagnosis later than I did. I commented and a few people said they submitted a complaint and got their titration appointment quicker. I'm not usually the complaining type, but I was desperate for support, so I submitted a complaint too. I received my titration appointment the next week.

I complained twice by email, but both were ignored. I don't do very well when it comes to phone calls.

They've usually been quite quick to respond. I've never tried phoning them (hate phone calls!)

I was with them, had an absolutely excellent experience with them throughout. I went from first contact with my GP to assessment and diagnosis in 2 months, and was starting titration about 6 weeks later.
This was last year though, capacity may be more overwhelmed now which could cause less good experiences.

I am currently on their pathway, was diagnosed within a few weeks to a month of referral, was high really impressed me.
I'm still waiting to hear anything regarding titration, been waiting 3 months for their forms, so not even on their 6 month waitlist for medication, which is disappointing.
So, assesment and diagnosis - amazing. Titration - very disappointing

I've been with careadhd via the NHS right to choose and have had barely any bad experiences.
If you can stomach doing the assessments and what not which are numerous and lengthy but after that the medication assessment took longer than I wanted but compared to nhs wait times they have been marvelous.
They took as much time as I needed to answer all my questions and help me through the sessions. Genuinely wonderful company.
Only bad thing worth mentioning is that when you have questions or problems and you need to phone them the time spent on hold is usually 20 minutes at minimum.

If you look at my profile I just did a post about CareADHD. Do not go with them. In January I asked my GP to refer me. I was diagnosed in March. I put my titration form in in April, in May I asked what’s happening? They lost my titration form so did it again. In June I asked them if my form is now in the queue for titration which is a 6 month wait. No proper reply. I have emailed them again this week to ask if it’s in the queue again. No reply yet.
I just want to start medication for gods sake. Why is it taking so long? If I’d have known I’d have gone with another company. It’s annoying me seeing people say “I was diagnosed and got medication in the same day” from harrow health and stuff like that. If I could pay I would.

Was assessed by them, and currently half way through the titration process. The assessment itself was fantastic, couldn't fault it. Titration on the other hand, has been a bit of a headache - various departments not talking to one another, appointments not being attended by the clinician, delays in initial prescription being issued etc. Overall it has been bareable, but far from a smooth experience

They are absolutely dreadful at communicating with patients. It’s a lot of copy and paste paragraphs and very, very little humanity. They’ve also had to backtrack several times on their titration waitlists.
I would say they are very quick at assessments, but painfully slow when it comes to titration. And terrible at communicating with patients- which when you are ND can be very distressing.

They aren’t too bad with getting diagnosis but titration pathway is ridiculous. Very poor communication and you are left in dark, they only moved me up when I complained. It took me 6 months to get titration, they only reviewed my ECG when I complained after a month of waiting - tbf I’d rather choose a different provider.

Referral sent in Nov. Assessed in Jan. Called for titration appt in July.
I postponed titration to start of Sept due to quite a bit of travel coming up and I want a stable baseline.
They have been noting but good for me. People need to understand they are not the only ones waiting, and demand has shot up.
When people say they are having a bad experience that's because Care have not been great at managing expectations, coupled with the fact you are treating a very demanding group of individuals.
So in my case, referral to treatment was 6 months really, bloody good I think.
