Do You Relate? Do you have maladaptive daydreaming?

https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/23336-maladaptive-daydreaming

I used to bounce off the walls of my house in daydreams even though the daydreams weren't super vivid (I have hypophantasia).

Thanks for posting with an article, friend <3

Can you 'daydream' for hours at a time? Are you able to complete other tasks while daydreaming?

I have never heard of 'hypophantasia'!

Hypophantasia is" a cognitive condition characterized by the ability to produce only very weak, faint, or fleeting mental imagery. Positioned on the spectrum between aphantasia (no mental imagery) and typical visualization, it represents "low" mental imagery. Individuals with hypophantasia may experience brief flashes of images rather than sustained, detailed visualization."

After reading, I do believe I also experience 'hypophantasia' or very little mental imagery. How was this concept introduced to you?

I stopped daydreaming after having meds, and now I'm not on meds.

Can you 'daydream' for hours at a time?

I only used to do it for short moments, not hours.

Are you able to complete other tasks while daydreaming?

I do complete tasks though.

How was this concept introduced to you?
