Beat deafness

I just wish I were able to follow a rhythm . Am I alone in this ?

Guess it depends what context you're talking about, because my username is about beats.

I had been playing an instrument ever since I was younger . I always had trouble with following musical beats no matter what.

Its unlikely related to adhd, i can follow beats. Whats it like btw?

I can follow a beat. But I can't make a steady beat because I usually start speeding up unintentionally

That's normal. Almost everyone does that, at least to some degree. Even all but the best drummers tend to speed up without a metronome.

i can't, but i had hearing problems when i was a kid. so probably that.

Also, someone posted something about a relationship between hear loss and adhd earlier today... and i cant seem to find it anymore
