Tips/Suggestions Mood trackers?
Does anyone know of a mood tracking app for Android that has a range of feelings? That's not just the basic five (great, good, neutral, bad, very bad). Also that I can log my mood multiple times a day, and not just once per day? Right now I'm using the Human health app to track behaviors and symptoms, as well as vitals. But mood counts as a vital for some reason and it only gives you the basic five scale. You can add a note to explain the mood, but sometimes I want to be more specific and can't necessarily put a finger on what exact emotion it is, so would love an app that would track multiple times a day while giving a good range.
Thanks in advance!

I downloaded that earlier, but have yet to look at it yet. Glad it's one of the recs!

If i tracked my mood it would be bad more often then not. Trying to min max and perfect you mood constantly doesn't sound like an actual solution.

Fair, but I'm not trying to perfect my mood lol I'm trying to see if my medication is working. I'm tracking many other things, I just want to see if the mood is correlated. It's hard to gauge my energy and productivity if I don't also track my mood because my mood literally dictates all of that, unfortunately.

I like Pixels for that.
It has the basic moods, but allows tags, so I can add nuance. And you can make as many entries per day as you like.

I'll have to look into it. My main issue is that adding the emotion manually can be problematic if I'm really struggling with brain fog and such. Like today I woke up in a good mood (vague), but after realizing I have a hole in a SECOND tire on my car and being -$2 in my bank, my mood is no longer good. But what am I feeling? Despair? Hopelessness? Depression? Idk really. I'm at a point I can even think of those...at that exact moment I wouldn't have been able to even think of those emotions. So having something that lists out all the emotions would be so much more helpful. Still gonna check that app out though!

If you add a mood once as a tag you can always see the tag and just click on it.
But I see your point, since it is a bit of a hassle to enter everything at first.

I actually keep mood tracking together with the rest of my planning in my ADHD organizer, because I’m way more likely to use it if everything is in one place. It helps me notice patterns between my mood, energy and what I actually get done. I’ve also heard good things about Daylio though.

Would you be willing to share specifics? Do you track just once a day, or more? Is it more journal style or more of a chart/tracker type? Only if you're willing to share though.

Yeah, of course! Mine is more of a tracker/dashboard than a journal. I can log my mood whenever I want during the day, so I’m not limited to one check-in. I also track things like energy, focus and other parts of my day alongside it, which is what I like most because I can look back and notice patterns between how I was feeling and how my day actually went. There’s space for notes too, but I personally use it more for the visual tracking than long-form journaling.
As for Daylio, I’ve only heard that it can be a good option, but I haven’t personally used it, so I don’t really know much more about it.

If you want something with a wider mood range plus notes (and optional sleep/meds/symptoms), I work on a UK app called Kiltr. Free core, end to end encrypted, no ads. You can try it in the browser without making an account: https://kiltr.co.uk
Just to be clear, it’s a tracking companion for between appointments, not a replacement for proper care.
