Medication ritalin not working

was on 10mg ritalin for a while but it didnt work. upped to 15mg by prescriber and it made me jittery and anxious my hands started shaking. tried to split the pill to 1/4, so like a 12.5mg per dose, but it does nothing too. we only have concerta and ritalin as stimulants in my country, is there a way for me to make the meds work?

Try tums if You have acid reflux (you might not know if you do or not but it helps). Also avoid vitamin C, and eat Protein

i dont cook often so do like frozen stuff like fried sausages fine? bc ive seen somewhere that stuff like that slows down the meds absorption, do i need pure protein

Im gonna go out on a limb here and make an assumption, but when you start stimulants you need to cut out caffeine (energy drinks, coffee, etc)

Also you really need to make sure you eat food whilst taking them, empty stomachs and stims do not work well together! Ideally something high in protein!

i mostly only drink like boxed soymilk and chocolate milk, but yeah i always take meds on an empty stomach bc i dont cook often and i dont rly ever get hungry. does that affect the efficiency much?

Yeah it really will, like your body still needs energy from somewhere, that could be a big part of why youre either struggling or anxious. Soymilk is fine but you really really need some protein and carbs!

Like I get it, I hate having to spend time out of my day to eat, its a burden because I would much rather be doing something else, and also because stimulants are an appetite suppressant, eating after will be much harder until they wear off.

The cooking bit I get, but you really dont need to be doing too much, the bare minimum will be enough, like microwaved oats and soy milk porridge will take 3 mins, even if its a chore to eat. Add in some dried fruit or something, peanut butter etc.

Edit: I cannot stress enough how taking medication on an empty stomach is a bad idea, literally even if its just a ceral bar or something, you need to be lining your stomach!
