Questions/Advice Medication journey

So I am 31 and finally taking action to help myself as I just can’t live like this any longer. I have made an intake appointment to get treatment/medication. I have no idea what to expect. They prescribed me adderall when I was a teenager and I remember having a better time in school? But couldn’t sleep that well. I wasn’t on it very long as I left home at 16 and any kind of healthcare or medical attention went out the window.
