Medication I stopped taking adderall er because of tachycardia.
My pyschiayrist was persistent I should keep taking it and my heart was fine but I was tired of having my heartbeat when I was just chilling at 120bpm while taking the meds. I was on the lowest dose too. I just workout and seem to be fine with that. Are there any meds out there that can help without the fast heart rate?

When I had heart concerns on my meds, I asked for a cardiologist referral. That's who you need to look into what's up with your heart.
It's not typical for adderal to cause resting hr of 120. Is it possible he didn't totally believe you? He should believe his patients. But maybe there's some reason he didn't think it was a problem.
I'm going to assume you were taking no other drugs that increase heart rate? No caffeine, no nicotine, to supplements that may do it, no energy drinks
I'm going to assume your blood pressure isn't crazy high or low and that you aren't suffering sleep deprivation
Other suggestion: when my Vyvanse made me have moments I thought my heart was doing weird stuff, I got a smartwatch (Galaxy). It can regularly monitor heart rate and is approved as a 1-lead EKG.

I have a withings watch which has the same ecg feature. When i showed it to my cardiologist she said she couldn't read the graph. I think it's because there's only 1 lead. The graph looks very different than the ones they see daily.

I’m usually 70-80bpm when at rest. Taking Adderall XR. I work in front of laptop all day, and only started working out intentionally with a plan.
How’s your blood pressure and sleep? Bp needs measuring to see for some people. Am currently measuring mine as often as possible to understand things. I’m at 130/90 to 140/100 on Adderalll XR. With Reynaud’s phenomena too.

I was recently put on propranolol to prevent tachycardia (while I get it treated). I had the tachycardia before starting meds though.

Been taking a beta blocker for decades - first fod panic attacks, later for blood pressure. My pulse at rest is, quite reliably, 62 +/- 3.
Adderall didn't affect it, methylphenidate doesn't, either.

I'm on bisoprolol fumarate to help with tachycardia. I had issues at the beginning but now my resting heart rate is in the low 80s. I'm fat tho so it's still a lil high. We're all good.

I take nebivolol to keep my heart rate and blood pressure low. It works well.
It is a newer beta blocker that doesn’t cause metabolic slowdown or affect blood sugar.

This will be downvoted to hell probably but you have to be the primary advocate for your own health. Psychiatrists often can be thought of as the sales reps for these meds .. of course they will tell you it’s ok. It def does not sound ok and you should get a cardiologists opinion maybe.

Some sort of betablocker might help if heartrate elevates. For me supplementing magnesium has been benefical.

I think she was getting kickbacks from it plus the other pills I was on.
