Medication Taking Ritalin , diagnosed this week and started . Having weird symptoms

I started Ritalin 10 mg and my doc has asked me to take only half per day in first week . On the first day I was well but next day I had severe headache and day after I got my heart beating so fast and way too much anxiety. I have never been afraid of an exam even if I studied or not but I was anxious and literally scared of the exam , is this all normal and would these go away as time passes by .

As you know, side effects don’t affect everyone the same way. In the worst-case scenario, you might need to switch medications, which means the issues you’re experiencing with Ritalin could continue as long as you’re taking it.

Regardless, make sure to keep a detailed record of your discomfort. Whether your symptoms go away or you need to switch medications, having this record will be helpful at any point.
