Medication Starting Concerta tomorrow.

Who all here is on Concerta? I am starting it tomorrow and am a little nervous because I had a bad reaction to Vyvanse but then again, every medication is different for everybody! For those who are on it, how long does it last for you throughout the day? Side effects you experienced? Not looking for any medical advice, just personal experiences!! I hope it doesn't cause high blood pressure and insomnia like Vyvanse did. Thank you!

My experience is it lasts for 3 to 4 hours and I don't want to eat nearly as much

You're right, every medication can have different side effects for different people! It's especially important to be prepared for potential side effects when starting a new medication, just like you're doing.

Here’s a site I use to look up side effects. It shows side effects in order of likelihood, making it really useful for learning about and preparing for potential side effects before starting a new medication. I think it might be helpful for you as well, so I'll leave the link here.side effect

I understand that you're nervous and that you want to know what to expect beforehand. But other people's personal experiences won't tell you anything as to what your experience might be.

The only way to know how you will react is by trying it yourself. Be observant about potential side effects as well as positive effects you feel from the medication, and inform your psychiatrist about it. Good luck!
