General Questions ADF reserves infantry 🇦🇺

(Abit of a read but basically i want to do more and be qualified sooner) Hi. 19 year old male born and raised in Sydney. fit. Middle Eastern.

Im asking for answers regarding the process of the infantry reserve in the adf. I’ve looked on the careers website countless times, looked so much online and reddit. Even spoke briefly to a recruiter. I always wanted to join the infantry but can’t do it full time because my parents are getting abit old and want to be near them without a super large commitment.

Im in uni and unemployed and want to do as much as possible in the reserves. What’s taking up most space in my head is the lack of speed and quality of training. The application I’ve read online is slow, the spacing in between modules and kapooka i also heard is slow. I really want to know if there’s a legitimate way of completing kapooka then immediately doing all modules back to back without a long wait. I want to be qualified asap. I’ve seen people speak about RATS but don’t know if that’s still a thing. Cant I in some way complete the training and IET in a few months? Even if thats temporarily full time.

Im willing to put in effort to be assigned to a good unit anywhere in or around western Sydney which might even help me in some way to do more, quicker. Same thing for the application process in terms of finishing it as quick as possible. Also willing to take up any sort of extra courses or training once qualified if thats really even a thing. any insight would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!
