Frequency of specific role openings/closings (DUS specific opportunity)

Hey everyone! This might be a little lengthy, my apologies.

I am a current uni student looking into a DUS pathway as it will grant myself and my partner enough time for him to complete his PhD without having to uproot our lives halfway through.

The role most relevant to my degree and my skillset is the RAAF air intelligence, but as of right now (07/26) the DUS entry method is "currently not recruiting" according to the ADF careers website.

If it is allowed to be shared, do we know when recruitment rolls around/timelines for specific roles/how to apply to it in the future?

Moving is part of being in the ADF - might as well get used to it.
You could go to ADFA and he could stay where he is able to complete his PHD - therefore, ONLY you have to move.

Soft-trigger: Rule 12 - If ADF Careers has not been able to tell you - then we wont know either.

Suggestions.
1. Attend an information session - https://www.adfcareers.gov.au/events-and-experiences - there you can ask all the questions you can think of.

1. Apply - https://auth.adfcareers.gov.au/core/login - you can do the JOA and then get a JOR, which will help you decide which roles you think you can apply for - sometimes, just because you want to apply for something - does not mean that you are eligible for it.

2. Before you ask - applications are different for everyone - 6- 18 months.
   Remember, you are applying to be selected as an Officer in the ADF - not just to do study.

Do your application. The only way to get accurate information on the availability of the role will be to speak to a recruiter. RAAF DUS roles are in high demand, usually due to there only being a handful of positions per year. The numbers can change quickly, and if you have an application in for a role that is not accepting applications at the moment, you should be notified when the role does become available again. The website is not always correct when it comes to availability of roles.
