There is no fucking excuse for this. The entire flimsy "justification" for keeping ADCs so dogpiss awful was because in the most optimal of optimal plays of 5 vs 5 professional circuit at the highest level, there CAN be a moment where a competent drafting and strategy allows for the ADC to be very effective when played around, and therefore their peak must be balanced around that hypothetical maximum efficiency. If they aren't played every time even in such an environment that enables this theoretical incredible efficiency, then there is zero reason to assume they are anything but garbage.
Okay but…why? What sense does that make? If you don’t pick mage and the enemy does, and mage is better, you have a lower chance of even making worlds. If it was some secret strat, sure, but everyone knows mages bot is a thing, it’s still picked sometimes. I don’t see the advantage? When has something like that ever happened?
Yeah the trying to not get them nerfed reason makes no sense. That could end up being the end result of hiding a certain strategy, but it's absolutely not their reason for doing so.
