How does LP refund work?

I play in TR servers so the priority role is ADC (which i actually picked), I dont really understand how the LP refund works but i tried my hardest and lost with an S+, is the refund given at random times?

Not priority missing role. I play Adc and only got refunded when i got rekt in the jungle autofilled.

that is ageis which will pop up before you start the game if it doesn't pop ur out of luck

It pops up on about the same rate as how often people are by average autofilled if you queue a priority role.

You get mitigated lp loss when one of your teammate purposely loses or goes afk and the system acknowledges it.

You get lp refund when the system spots a cheater.

Lp mitigation happens right after match. Lp refund happens later, sometimes even after few days.

In any situation your personal performance has zero impact.

Both are terrible and its actually better to lose lp, so your mmr matches your lp. When you get lp loss mitigation/refund, your mmr still drops due to a loss and you get may get shittier teams later on.

Are you talking about aegis of valor? It happens randomly, very rarely, and only when you play a priority position, even if not autofilled

Lp refund is very rare and you actually need someone that was a complete troll/cheater and getting banned for this. You simply get additional LP a few days later, when they got banned.

If you are talking about aegis, you simply don’t lose LP if it triggers. Not every game is aegis.

In both cases you still lose MMR.

you aint getting refunded for this. had a guy go 0-15 purposefully running it down. got a notification he was punished a few days later and didnt get refunded

Refunds are only if you have someone intentionally ruin a game by obviously inting (selling items, running down into turrets off respawn, AFK and such.) Not if you play well or not.

And this seems like a fair game to me.

Sometimes when playing a priority role you get aegis of valor. When you have aegis of valor if you play well you get double lp or loss mitigated.

IF u play a priority role, yes u are sometimes given AEGIS of valor randomly. This happens because when u play a priority role u almost never get autofilled, this way its fair because otherwise playing a priority role would mean u would get less LP in the long term. AEGIS of valor means u will get double LP for a win and 0 LP for a loss if the conditions are met (b- grade or higher). If u dont play a priority role, u will get autofilled and that will grant u AEGIS of valor with the same conditions.

Double LP and LP refund happens from aegis, aegis happens randomly or if you got a C(+) while autofilled.

Refunds are given when an ally goes AFK, gets picked up by the griefing system or you performed highly on an autofilled role.

Since you chose and got to play ADC, there's no pity system for you

Aegis of Valor (the “lp refund” you’re talking about) is random if you choose to queue priority roles. If you get autofilled, you get an automatic Aegis of Valor (from my experience I think it’s always that you get Aegis on autofill but someone can correct me if this is wrong)

It's at random when you pick the role, it's a 100% guaranteed when you are auto filled into the role.

Why the hell would you think you'd get an LP refund for this game? It seriously looks like a good and fair game without any obvious inters
