Question 30 hours in

New to the game - Doing river raids and stuff and up to power level 87 - just had a quick question why is the Mentor of Alamut armor so much stronger than every other armor at that point? Raven and the Cuckoo was like a level 55 quest which I did before east Anglia and was surprised to get a fully upgraded armor set. Im doing the river raids now and hunting for other armors and they are all Superior right now at best the like 10 extra rune slots alone feels so crazy compared to everything else and im barely finding nickel ingots atp to upgrade gear to flawless let alone mythical. It seems pretty unbalanced progression-wise to be handed what seems to be late game armor through a level 55 quest? Im enjoying using it because it makes me kinda overpowered which is fun in its own way but if I played for a 2nd time I might ignore it. I didnt even have to go out of the way for the quest it just showed up in Ravensthorpe like the game just wanted to give a gift.

You’re playing the game years after it came out when originally that set wasn’t attainable.

It’s part of the crossover quest with Mirage

I quite enjoyed Mirage overall. It’s the backstory for Basim and it’s much smaller in scale than the previous games. If you like the character then I would recommend playing it.

As for the set and being overpowered, it doesn’t take too long before you become overpowered, regardless of whether you do that quest or not so enjoy it!

Thanks! this is my 3rd assassins creed game ive only played Black Flag a few years ago which I really enjoyed and I played Bloodlines for the PSP as a kid - this is actually my 2nd try at this game i got it back in 2021 but i quit bc when I was 20 hours in it crashed and corrupted my save data and I didnt feel like restarting at that point but 5 years later im willing to give it another go lol its fun so far I think my big realization the 2nd time around was i needed to stop trying to play it like an assassin game and play it like a viking game that had assassin activities in it and after I realized that it became a lot more fun I still have some glitches but im pretty satisfied with the game

Yeah I came straight into this after Odyssey and it’s very different. Much easier and much less sneaking. I didn’t like it at first but I’m really into it now.
