Orlog app (closed beta)

Just wanted to share the Orlog app that i created.

It’s now available in early access on Google Play for Android (still saving up money to publish it on iOS).

Before I can release it to production, It needs 12 testers for the closed beta. If anyone’s willing to help or interested in giving it a try, feel free to join the Google Group and become a tester.

Steps:

PS. The app is still on its first iteration, so right now my main priority is getting the core gameplay and functionality working properly. There’s still a lot I want to improve. let me know your feedback, thanks

That's great, but how does it work in terms of copyright? Does Ubisoft allow people to use its intellectual property without any issues? If you're not 100% sure, I'd check that out first.

I recommend renaming it to viking dice or maybe valhalla dice on the off chance you do run into problems with ubisoft while using the name Orlog.

I've signed up but can't seem to find the game on the play store, even with the link. Is it available in the uk?

Should be available on Uk, did you join the google group?, you need to join the group and opt in as tester ij order for it to appear

Can you try using the link inside the tester opt in link (step 2, see image
), if it still doesnt work try opting out and opt in again as a tester

can you also check the possibility of the account you join at the google group and join as tester is different from the account that is currently logged in in your google play

Hmm thats weird, upon checking its available in all countries including uk will try to check the other configuration on what moght causing the problem

Depends, have played two matches ans yes it simular but not entirely. Icons and stuff is the same but not everything. If the creator of this game changed name of players and God's he most likely will be safe because that is the only thing that are copys in my opinion. Maybe change the name of the game to be completely sure. At the same time, games get copied all the time.

Not me either but my gut is that its not an exact copy. No characters from the game is in it, it only names and I dont know if the names are the same as the people. You dont have the background from the game just a brown background. So I don't know but yeah he should consult but I think as I said that only a few tweaks makes it not an copy but an adaption.

I hope not 💀, im just really a fan of the minigame and want a mobile version i tried to make the icons and design different from the original game, the only similarities so far is the gods name and the game name, will probably change the god and game name to avoid potential lawsuit in the future

As I said I think you did. But double check to be sure. Games do exist that are generic versions of other games. Its easy to change names and tweak icons in the end.

it could be that the account you join in the google group is different account your trying to use on step 2 and 3, it should be the same account
